===== Cause =====



This error appears to occur when a Client PC Control users has Write and Read access to the Control.exe file.



===== Resolution =====



To resolve the issue immediately:


  - On the server, open Computer Manager and click on Open Shares.


  - Locate the user which has Write + Read level access in the Open Mode column. 


  - Be sure this user is aware and has already tried to close Control first.


  - Right click and close any open Control related files that user has open. 



To resolve the issue permanently:


  - On the server, navigate to the Control folder where the Control.exe file is located.


  - Right click on the Control.exe file and select Properties.


  - Set the Write permission to Deny for all users.


  - Click Ok.


  - Have all users re-start Control.
