===== Installing COELACANTH Service =====



The COELACANTH service must be running at all times in order for the API to be accessible for querying.



===== Requirements =====
  * Control 5.1 must be installed and functioning.
  * CHAPI must be installed and functioning.
  * .NET 4.5 must be installed.



==== Installation ====
  * Copy the latest files for WAPIC (Coelacanth) from G:\RunImage\Control 5.1\WAPIC\.
  * Create a folder named COELACANTH in C:\Program Files (x86)\.
  * Adjust the permissions to allow full control for all users.



===== Register the COELACANTH Service =====
  * Proceed to [[wapic_-_register_coelacanth_service]].



===== Editing the Database Connection Strings =====
  * Proceed to [[wapic_-_setting_the_database_connection_strings_in_coelacanth.servicehost.exe.config]] .



===== Start the COELACANTH Service =====
  * Open Control Panel
  * Administrative Tools
  * Services
  * Locate Coelacanth.ServiceHost_5321
  * Right-click and choose Start to start the service.



===== Testing the API =====
  * Proceed to the [[wapic_-_request_test_system_pagerequest_test_system_page|Request Test System Page]] to submit your requests to the API.
