The SQL Server Management Tools sometimes do not show on the Start screen in Windows 8.1, and typing 'sql' to search for them on the Start screen doesn't produce them as results.
The tools are actually installed. If you are looking for SQL Configuration Manager, start typing 'configuration' and it will appear. Once it does, you can right-click it and choose Pin to Start. You can do this for the other management tools as well.
Customers updating to Windows 8.1 may have a problem with the HASP drivers. This is a quick method for uninstalling the HASP drivers completely from a customer's system if need be.
