TrustKeeper is the default PCI certification agency for Elavon/Capital Q. These pages attempt to provide assistance to Cyrious users that are using TrustKeeper for their PCI certification.

Disclaimer: All information provided in these pages is meant to be helpful for a typical Sign, Print, or Graphics company. If your business model differs significantly from these typical establishments, these recommendations may not apply. In all cases, you are responsible for providing the correct answer and Cyrious assumes no direct or indirect liability with the guidance below.

For Cyrious, the TrustKeeper agent should be installed on the computer which houses the SQL Server database or the SMS database. Normally, this is the SSLIP computer also. If you are running your own web server or other database servers, you may need to install TrustKeeper on these machines also. Consult the PCI documentation for more guidance.

To install the TrustKeeper Agent:

  1. Open your web browser on the computer with the SQL Database (normally the SSLIP server).
  1. Navigate to http://pci.elavon.com.
  1. Click on “IP Solutions”. A new page will open.
  1. Click on “Get Certified”. A new page will open.
  1. Click on “Download Trustkeeper Agent”
  1. Choose to run the download.
  1. Enter the appropriate information and step through the installation.
    • For AgentName, leave it the ComputerName (the default)
    • Unless you already have an account with TrustKeeper (probably because you installed this software on another computer already), choose “New User” and enter the information to create a new account.
      • You will need your merchant ID from your bill.
      • Make sure you enter an email address that works, since this email will be used to send you any problems the TrustKeeper Agent finds.
  1. The agent will automatically start and you will see the icon in your System Tray (by the clock).
  1. Right click on the icon and choose “Show Agent Status”.
    • The status should say “Started”.
    • The Alerts tab should say “The TrustKeeper Agent is functioning properly.”
    • Click “OK” to close it. (It will still keep running in the system tray.)

The TrustKeeper Agent is designed to run overnight so it doesn't interfere with daily operations. You are done installing the TrustKeeper Agent on this machine.
