Application Failure - BEX Error

SSLIP or Control Crash giving you a “SSLIP has stopped working” or “Control has stopped working” pop up. The screen will offer problem details, expand to review. This solution applies to situations when the “Problem event Name:” is BEX.

The Firefox items will be represented by either Control or the SSLIP.exe.

Adjust the DEP options to allow the Control and SSLIP items

-Navigate to the computer SYstem screen

-Select the Advanced system settings

-On the “Advanced” tab, select “Settings” on the “Performance” item

-On this screen, select “Data Execution Prevention” tab

-There are two selections, you will need to select the second one “Turn on DEP for all programs and services except those I select:”

-Exclude Control.exe and SSLIP.exe

-This may require a reboot.

Note: After upgrading Control, you may receive this error even if Control and the SSLIP are excluded from DEP in the steps above. If this is the case, add the Control.exe and SSLIP.exe to the exceptions again. It is thought that DEP tracks the exe version and may not exclude newer versions.
