Creating a Wiki Page:

When working on Support Tickets a technician will find at times the need to reference information or guides on how to resolve the current issue that they are working on. For this there cyriouswiki.com. In order to have articles to reference a Support Technician must first create the article. On this page Support Technicians will be able to find how to create a proper Wiki Page for personal reference as well as to assist technicians in the future.

As a note before a technician creates a Wiki Page they should first actually search through cyriouswiki.com to verify that there is not a Wiki Page already created for the topic. If there is a Wiki Page already created for the topic that the technician is looking for then the technician should first edit the article and update it to reflect current information. If the support technician cannot find the wiki page then they should follow the following steps below.

1. First, the technician must create the web address that their new Wiki Page will be on. This web address must meet the following criteria. ProductName.cyriouswiki.com/topic_of_wiki_page. An example of this would be control.cyriouswiki.com/creating_a_wiki_page. Upon entering this address the technician will be taken to a page that looks like the image below.

1. At the top of the page, as well as on the side toolbar, there will be an icon that allows the technician to edit the Wiki Page. The technician will click on this icon and then begin adding information and/or editing the Wiki Page. See the example below for where the icons are located.

2. Once the technician has clicked on the edit page option they will be taken to a text editor that will allow them to be able to add or adjust text and images. This editor is like any other basic text editor and comes with basic functions. A thing to be aware of is that there are two different edit modes. The first is DW Edit mode and this is the edit mode a technician will want to use when inserting an image. It is also more developer based in regards to certain fields. CKG Edit mode is the second mode and that a technician will want to use for inserting text and making changes to wording. To swap between these two modes the technician will want to save what they are doing then go back into edit mode. From here the tech will click CKG Edit or DW Edit and it will take them back to the Wiki Page. Once the technician hits the edit button again it will take them into their selected editor.

1. The Technician must first ensure that they are in DW Edit mode.

2. From the toolbar on the editor, there is an “Add Images and other Files” button. The technician will need to click this.

3. A pop-up window will appear and there will be an Upload Image option. From here the technician will click Select Files and find the image from their storage that they would like to upload. Once an image is selected the technician will then click upload and the file will get uploaded to the Wiki storage.

4. Once the image is uploaded the technician will then scroll through the list of images and select the image they are trying to upload. Once the image is selected a small window will pop up giving the tech several options.

5. From the options list normally a technician will not want the image to link to anything so they will select no link as well as an alignment then hit insert. Once inserted the technician will be able to see the image on the Wiki Page.
