Catalogs Setup

In this article, we will be outlining the Catalogs section of the Admin Panel. If you would like more specific information about a given topic, please reach out to the Ecommerce Training Staff at ecommerce@cyrious.com.

+ (New Catalog) - This option will allow you to create a new Catalog. You can have multiple Catalogs for one Store, but only one can be applied at a time.

Search - This option will allow you to filter your list based on Name.

Toolbar

1. Edit - To edit an existing record, click on the corresponding row.
2. Name - This is the name used to identify the Catalog.
3. # of Collections - This represents the number of Collections assigned to the Catalog.
4. # of Products - This represents the number of Products assigned to the Catalog.
5. More Options - Represented as 3 vertical dots on the far right side of the Catalog row. Hover over the option menu for the following:
   1. Delete - This option allows you to delete Catalogs that are no longer needed. You cannot delete Catalogs actively assigned to Stores. You will need to reassign the Store before attempting to delete the Catalog.

The Catalog Details tab allows you to give your Catalog a name. It is helpful to include the Store or Brand name in the Catalog title. This will make it easier to identify which Catalogs belong to which Stores when assigning them in My Stores.

The Associated Collections tab allows you to create the Store's Catalog hierarchy. Collections can be top level categories or be made into subcategories. Collections need to exist before trying to link them to Catalogs. Collections need one active Product inside of them before they will show on your Store even if they are linked in your Catalog.

Creating a Category Association

1. Click + (Associated Collections)
2. Use Select Collection to choose the category you would like to add to the Catalog.
   1. The list will only show you Collections not already attached to the Catalog.
3. User Parent Collection if applicable.
   1. If this Collection is a parent category, set this option to No Parent - Root Level.
   2. If this Collection is a subcategory, set this option to the Parent Collection.
4. Set your Display Order.
   1. Smaller numbers will be displayed first.
   2. Display order doesn't automatically re-index.
   3. If two Collections have the same display order, it will sort alphabetically based on Collection name.
   4. If you will be entering more categories later, it is recommended you build spacing into your display order. For example, setup your initial Collections in groupings of 10 so you can insert more Collections in between later if applicable.
5. Products in Associated Collection gives you a preview of the Products in this particular Collection.
