Controlling Store Access

In this article, you will learn how to setup and maintain an existing Control customer inside of Control so they have access to your Ecommerce Store(s).

NOTE: Each username must be unique; therefore, an email address can only be used once inside your Control database. You will need to update any duplicate records before granting access to Ecommerce. This includes employee records. If any employee would like a login to Ecommerce, it is suggested they use an email alias or personal email address.

    1. Click Explorer.
    2. Click Explore Companies.
    3. Search for Company Name.
    4. Double click the Company Name.
  2. Find and edit the contact record:
    1. Click Edit.
    2. Click Contacts.
    3. Click the Contact Name.
    4. Enter or verify the contact’s Email Address.
    5. Click Cyrious Connector Login.
    6. Check Enable User Login for Cyrious Cloud Apps and WebView.
    7. Fill in Password and Confirm.
NOTE: Ecommerce passwords must be at least 8 alphanumeric characters and contain at least 1 number.
    8. Click Save.
  3. (Optional) Test customer login on your Ecommerce Store.
    1. Navigate to the Store the customer will be using and attempt to log in.
    2. If the customer needs access to multiple Stores, navigate to Customers > Contacts inside of your Admin Panel. When you open their account, there will be checkbox next to each Store which allows you to control which Store(s) the customer can log into.

If a customer has registered online and a duplicate account was created, your Accounting Department may ask you to clean up the CRM for billing purposes.

  1. Navigate to Company Record
    1. Using the Company Explorer, identify the duplicate Company record and the valid Company record.
    2. Open the duplicate Company record.
    3. Select Delete. The system will prompt you to chose a new Company record so all history to be transferred.
    4. Chose the valid Company record based on the information from your Accounting Department.
  2. Once the merge is complete, you will want to check the Contacts tab for duplicate Contact records.
    1. It is important to note that one of the records will be tying to the Ecommerce system by the permission list in Initial Control Contact Setup. If you opt to delete this contact, you will want to complete Step #2 of the Initial Control Contact Setup to reactivate their access to Ecommerce.
